OMG announces the lineup for their all girls team

OMG, an esports organization best known for the performance of their League of Legends team, conducted a two week audition process with 40 candidates to determine the starting lineup for their new all female LoL team, Oh My Girl.

The process was overseen by Ouyang "pomelo" Weiqi, previous starting jungler and support player for OMG. On August 30th, two teams were formed from the top ten tryouts for a best of three series. One team was led by pomelo, and the other by Hu "xiyang" Bin, who recently returned to sub for OMG after a stint as the mid laner for Positive Energy. Pomelo's squad bested xiyang's with a 2-0.

Xiyang gave a guest review of the set, and pomelo ultimately decided on the final lineup for Oh My girl today. OMG welcomed 小爱 (Little Love), 沫子More, 乐透Lerson, 派大星xing, and 小狸Ali to the club.

Oh My Girl will be managed by Sherry C from the 2011 Tencent Games Arena Star League. Given pomelo's involvement with the team's formation, it seems likely he will serve in some coaching capacity.

OMG announces the lineup for their all girls team

OMG has yet to announce their plans for Oh My Girl, but they were not the first Chinese League of Legends organization to create an all female team. They join LGD Gaming's LGD Girls. Whether this is a sign that more Chinese clubs will follow, and we will see the formation of an all female League of Legends league remains to be seen.
