LEC adds DXRacer and Foot Locker as partners for 2019 season

European competition LEC found two new partners in the form of Foot Locker and DX Racer.

Riot Games’ league will have branded chairs for players to utilise (which will be available for purchase from March) through DXRacer and it’ll kit out on-air talent and referees through Foot Locker.

Riot Games adds Logitech G as latest partner of LEC

Riot Games also added gaming hardware brand Logitech G as an official supplier of the newly-launched LEC.

Logitech G will supply keyboards, mice, and mouse pads for players, it’ll create LEC-branded hardware to be released later this year, and it’ll power a new play by play broadcast segment.

Team Liquid adds Honda as official automotive sponsor

Esports organisation Team Liquid announced Honda as its official vehicle and official automotive sponsor.

Team Liquid’s LCS team jersey will feature Honda’s logo on the sleeve, and the team will have a fleet of branded Civics to drive to and from training.

Farming Simulator launching €250,000 esports league

GIANTS Software is launching the Farming Simulator League, a €250,000 (£217,833.73) competition based in Europe.

Spanning over 10 tournaments, teams of three will face off against each other for the ‘Farming Simulator Champion’ title and €100,000 (£87,140.41) in prize winnings.

Betway becomes main sponsor of BIG

German esports team BIG Clan is the latest organisation to join the Betway Esports family, signing a two-year deal.

The sponsorship includes jersey branding, content creation, giveaways, and social media promotion. BIG has now joined Ninjas in Pyjamas, MIBR, and Invictus Gaming in Betway’s sponsorship portfolio.

OpTic Gaming and Houston Outlaws are set to be sold

Texas Esports is preparing an attempt to sell its stake in Infinite Esports & Entertainment, the parent company of OpTic Gaming, OpTic LoL, Houston Outlaws, and Obey Alliance.

Aiming to sell its stake for $150 million (£117 million), Texas Esports has shuffled around staff between the companies and quickly reduced the amount of business units that was under Infinite.
