Unreal Tournament announcement happening soon — Watch it here [UPDATE: IT’S OVER]

[UPDATE] The stream has now ended. During the event, Epic Games announced an all-new Unreal Tournament game.

The original story is below.

During a special Twitch livestream today, Epic Games will unveil "the future of Unreal Tournament." You can watch the stream right here in this post beginning at 2 p.m. EDT.

The stream will also focus on Unreal Engine 4 and virtual reality technology like Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus, according to a post on the Epic Games website. Developers will field questions as well.

Epic Games cofounder Tim Sweeney said in March that the company is not working on anything in the Unreal game universe at the moment, so it sounds like today's announcement will be for something else.

The most recent Unreal Tournament game was 2007's Unreal Tournament III. In addition to its Unreal Engine 4, Epic Games is currently working on PC-exclusive game Fortnite, as well as two mystery projects.
