Spec Ops: The Line Dev Showing Its Next Game at E3
Spec Ops: The Line developer Yager Development will show off its next game--a brand new franchise--during E3 2014 in Los Angeles next week. The developer said on Twitter (via CVG) that it has partnered with new publisher Grey Box, and added that, "Boy, are we excited ;)"
Unfortunately, there's not much to go on regarding what this game might be. In late 2013, job listings at the German developer suggested the studio was working on a "AAA F2P" game, adding to earlier reports that the game would be military-themed and potentially include microtransactions and cross-platform play.
This project is believed to be the Unreal Engine 4-powered next-generation game that the studio announced in March 2013. For more on Spec Ops: The Line, a third-person shooter for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC published by 2K Games, check out GameSpot's review.
E3 2014 officially runs June 10-12, though Monday, June 9 is expected to be the heaviest day of all for news--Microsoft, Sony, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft are all holding their press conferences during the day. GameSpot will be on the ground at the show bringing you all the news as it happens.
