Much like its predecessors, Assassin's Creed Unity will offer downloadable content, some of which will be available as a preorder bonus.

An image shared by AccessTheAnimus (via CVG) reportedly shows a retailer's preorder offers for Unity, including an exclusive "Chemical Revolution" mission. This is the first we've heard of such a mission or any of the game's DLC, although--particulars aside--it should come as no surprise that DLC will be dangled in front of gamers as a preorder incentive.

If past Assassin's Creed games are any indication, this won't be the only preorder bonus out there. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, for instance, offered up at least five different DLC bonuses depending upon where you decided to preorder. If there does prove to be Unity DLC other than Chemical Revolution offered by various retailers, you can likely expect all of it to eventually be sold as premium DLC at some point following the game's release.

Unity was announced back in March following a series of leaks. It's set during the French Revolution and is rumored to include a four-player co-op mode. The game is being worked on by a whopping 10 studios and will be seen along with Ubisoft's other games (including Far Cry 4) at E3 next week.

The new Assassin's Creed has, thus far, only been announced for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It would be the first time a core game in the series wasn't released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but it doesn't appear that those systems will have go without an AC game altogether, if comments made by Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot are any indication. It was previously rumored that the systems would get their own game called Assassin's Creed Comet that would put players in the role of a Templar.
