First images of Walking Dead developer’s Borderlands game emerge — What do you think?
The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games today released the first images from its upcoming episodic series Tales from the Borderlands, based on Gearbox Software's hit shooter franchise. Posted on the PlayStation Blog, the images give us a peek at the art direction and characters for Tales from the Borderlands, which is set on Pandora after the events of Borderlands 2.
The story for Tales from the Borderlands is told from the perspective of two different characters, Rhys and Fiona. Specifically, the game's story will be told through flashbacks, allowing you to play through different versions of the same events with both characters.
The first episode in the Tales from the Borderlands series launches later this year. Episodes will be sold for $5 each, though Telltale will also offer a season pass. Telltale has not yet specified platforms, but the company's past projects have launched for PC, consoles, and mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.
On the PlayStation Blog, Telltale Games producer Adam Sarasohn also teased that, "The loot you grab in Tales will be available to use in other areas of the Borderlands franchise."
Telltale Games is keeping busy. In addition to Tales from the Borderlands, the studio is working on The Wolf Among Us, the second season of The Walking Dead, and a new Game of Thrones adventure series.
