Looks like Far Cry 4 is getting a $30 DLC season pass
It looks like Ubisoft's upcoming action game Far Cry 4 is getting a DLC season pass. Retailer GameStop has listed a $30 Far Cry 4 Season Pass for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. There's no mention of a PC version of the Far Cry 4 DLC pass on GameStop's website.
It's unclear what the Far Cry 4 Season Pass will include, but the product pages say the offering will go on sale alongside the game in November. We have reached out to Ubisoft for further comment and will update this story with anything we hear back.
If the Far Cry 4 DLC pass is indeed real, it won't be much of a surprise, as Ubisoft offered a similar pass for last fall's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and will make one available for next week's open-world action game Watch Dogs.
2012's Far Cry 3 welcomed four expansion packs, all of which were later bundled into the Far Cry 3: Deluxe Bundle.
In addition, just last week, Ubisoft top management said that the company not only wants to sell more games, but also more digital items for those games. DLC passes are a way to do that.
Far Cry 4, which has "a lot more multiplayer" than Far Cry 3, launches November 18.
