New iPhones To Be Revealed Next Month — Report
For the last year, rumors have abounded that tech giant Apple is making two iterations of the iPhone for release in 2014. The company has yet to officially say anything about the phones. Now, however, a report has revealed when Apple will break its silence and discuss the newest iPhones.
According to Recode, Apple will hold its annual iPhone event on Tuesday, September 9. This lines up with recent iPhone conferences, which generally occur in September. At this event, we will finally find out if the rumors are correct.
Most likely is the release of two versions of the phone, both with screens larger than those on the 4-inch iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s. As reported by CNET, one will have a 4.7-inch screen--and the other will be even larger with a 5.5-inch screen. One of the iPhones is also expected to have a screen made from hyper-strong synthetic sapphire glass.
We will have to wait for September 9 for the rumors to be confirmed or dispelled. It will be interesting to see how Apple references iPhone gaming, considering that last year the company added controller compatibility with iOS 7.
