Sounds Like Killzone Dev’s New IP Won’t Be at E3

Killzone developer Guerrilla Games is working on an all-new, non-Killzone game, but we probably won't see it at E3 next week, or anytime soon for that matter. As part of a Reddit AMA today, a fan asked if Guerrilla would show this game sometime before E3. Senior online producer Samrat Sharma replied, "No, we won't be showing it right now."

"Simple reason: we are confident enough in the game, but it's not something we can show and expect reasonable feedback," he added. "There is simply a lot of work that we need to do before we show it to our fans."

We don't know much about what Guerrilla's new game is, but the studio is clearly enthusiastic about it. Last month, the studio labeled the game "really awesome." Asked by another fan if Guerrilla is excited about its new IP, Sharma replied with a link to this exuberant Jonah Hill gif.

What we do know, however, is this game will be "completely different" than the Killzone franchise; it is rumored to be an open-world RPG. Considering Guerrilla is owned by Sony, you can bet its new game will debut exclusively on PlayStation platforms.

Guerrilla's most recent game was PlayStation 4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall. For more on what you can expect from this year's E3, check out GameSpot's roundup of everything you need to know about the show.
