cLy Punished With VAC Ban

After previously being accused of cheating during an online official match against Bulgarian team HeadshotBG, the case can finally be laid to rest as Anil 'cLy' Gulec has received an official VAC ban on his primary steam account.

After failing to have used EasyAntiCheat during an official match in the Gfinity G3 qualifier, hia team Planetkey Dynamics was disqualified and specifically Gulec has been the center of cheating accusations since.

Whether there will be any repercussions internally within the team or the Planetkey Dynamics organization is not yet clear, however it can be said - with relative certainty - that the community fall-out will be significant, as the case has been widely and consistently discussed since its occurrence. Until now the German side had been considered a significant force in the German and international scene.

Two more players, Nicolai 'moxxi' Tinggaard and Emil 'zaider' Brandt, have also been banned as part of the ban wave. The duo had previously played at the top in 1.6 and were challengers in CS:GO. They had been caught allegedly cheating before, as a duo back then as well, in 1.6 in the year of 2011, and banned by several third-parties for a duration of multiple years.
