H2K Gaming picks up the former Cloud 9 Eclipse

After letting go of their previous team, KMT - now the LCS team Roccat, the H2k organization has re-entered League of Legends by picking up the former European wing of the North American powerhouse Cloud 9.

The move comes after the North American organization announced that the team and Cloud 9 have parted ways. Eclipse was formed as 'Apples is Sour' and consisted of high elo players who sought to form a team that could challenge and obtain a spot in the League of Legends Championship Series.

The team performed very well in Challenger events and were in constant sparring battles with Ninjas in Pyjamas to determine the best team in Europe. The team attempted to qualify for the League of Legends Championship Series however they were defeated by the current LCS team Supa Hot Crew in a 3-0 whitewash.

The team's failure to qualify into the League of Legends Championship Series has been attributed to use their inability to use their star jungler Tri "K0u" Tin Lam as he was below the minimum age of 17 to participate in LCS qualifiers. K0u has since left the team and joined the newly formed Ninjas in Pyjamas.

The team's roster has not been finalised as they are still looking for a jungler, but several trials with the former Reason Gaming jungler Jonas "Trashy" Andersen have been undertaken.

This announcement was leaked yesterday on the League of Legends Champioship Series stream and on Riot Games' website LoLesports.com. The H2K organization has not put out an official statement yet and this post will be updated once the official statements come out.
