2PHearth announce EU vs CN Masters, with $11,000 prize pool

onGamers has managed to obtain the exclusive information that Hearth2P, the company behind the previous NA vs CN tournament which saw the North American team triumph 4-3, will be hosting their second tournament, the EU vs CN Masters later this month with a prize pool of over $11,000.

More details will be announced shortly, but the qualifiers will be taking place soon in a Swiss format with a Top 16 cutoff, which is the first of it's kind for a major Hearthstone tournament. This Swiss format is more generally seen in Magic: The Gathering tournaments, where each player plays around 6-8 matches against various different opponents and their score is tallied alongside other players. The players with the best winrate and the best tiebreak score will usually go through to a top 8/16 cutoff tournament, where they fight for the prize against the other top players.

Links to the qualifiers as well as statements from the organisers will be posted here shortly. Make sure to keep checking this thread for more updates as they come!
