All stretch goals reached, and $6,000,000+ raised for TI4’s overall prize pool

The figures for this year’s edition of The International has gone far beyond where any esports event has ever gone before it, which includes TI3 which held the previous record, in which Alliance took home a grand total of $1,400, 000 million, half of the entire prize pool overall. Speculation is now rampant about whether or not Valve will add on further stretch goals as the amount of prize money is still increasing at a steady rate.

Assuming that the percentage the winners will receive is identical to all previous iterations of the tournament, the winners of TI4 will become the biggest ever earners in overall tournament winnings in esports history, as each player would receive close to $600,000 each which would make them surpass the earnings of Brood War legend Lee ‘Jaedong’ Jae Dong.
