Orange restructures, lets go of 3 players, WinteR takes up coaching on the side
The move to restructure Orange eSports comes as no surprise, as the current squad has failed to achieve consistency and to live up to the former status of their name. After making the top 8 in 2012 and being the best Eastern team coming in at 3rd place in 2013, the complete lack of an Orange eSports presence at the International will for many Malaysian fans be a sad moment, even with newcomers Arrow Gaming representing the national pride at the event alongside Titan eSports, who now holds most of the players of Orange's last year's squad.
The two players who will remain on the Orange roster are the two most experienced ones, but both have had a string of disappointments in past years. Raymond 'Sharky' Wong was the captain of MUFC and was removed from his flight on his way to the International in 2012, causing the team to forfeit their participation. Meanwhile Litt Binn 'WinteR' Chan took over as the head of MUFC last year, only to see his team have the now famous 0-15 run that has forever soured the MUFC name in many viewers' minds.
Additionally the team announced that WinteR will be taking up coaching duties for an as of yet unnamed team, starting with the WPC ACE playoffs and running until TI4. With the specific mention of WPC ACE and with many of the Chinese teams already having their own coaches, this leaves Titan eSports, Cloud9 and Alliance as the potential procurers of WinteR's services.
