Alliance claim DreamLeague Season 1
Going into the event, few saw Alliance making a deep run in the tournament. Performing on a level far below the expectations of their fans following their absolutely dominant form in 2013, the Swedish all-star team came to Jönköping fully prepared as they dismantled their opposition throughout the LAN's first two days. Team Empire and Cloud 9 became the only teams to truly challenge the seemingly reborn Swedish line-up, but were ultimately unable to break the streak of Alliance as they acquire their second LAN title in two months time.
On the opposite end, Cloud 9 became the surprise finalists as they managed to defeat Team Empire in a 2-1 nailbiter. Having been considered the heavy favorites in the series, Empire, who has long been considered the most consistent CIS team as of late, fell rather short against C9. Still, the Russian/Ukranian roster only lost to the two finalists of the tournament, showcasing their overall ability.
