EG to ESL One
Having won close to all of their recent encounters, EG defeated Team Liquid 3-1 for a spot at the upcoming ESL One event in Frankfurt, Germany. This makes them the sole representation of the North American region at the massive LAN event that will pit competitors from Europe, South East Asia and China in the Commerzbank Arena.
One question looms however over EG's attendance at the tournament; the continued health issues plaguing their carry player Clinton 'Fear' Loomis are still a very real issue as Loomis has not participated in a single game with the rest of the team for close to one and a half months, including their very successful run at the Starladder XI event in Kiev where Jacky 'Eternalenvy' Mao stood in for the American carry. Will Fear be back in action come the event, or will the team's temporary replacement Mason 'Mason' Venne be joining the rest of the crew in Germany?
