Evil Geniuses and North American Rejects to represent North America at The Summit
Evil Geniuses and North American Rejects will be representing North America at The Summit. Starting early June, Beyond the Summit will bring several of the world’s premier teams to their studio in Los Angeles. They will attempt to recreate the atmosphere of the incredibly popular Homestory Cup tournament series, where the serious competition inside the server gets mixed up with a casual setting outside of it.
As the North American qualifiers started, Evil Geniuses winning a spot at the LAN was almost a foregone conclusion. The second team that would attend the event together with them was a toss-up however, as most of the North American teams, aside from EG, have the ability to take games off of one another frequently. This was proven all too clearly as Team Liquid were dispatched by both the Sneaky Nyx Assassins and finally North American Rejects, who eliminated them from the qualifiers. SNA, who advanced on through the winner bracket before being defeated by EG in a 3-0 sweep, would then go on to face NAR, who proved to be too much as a similar scoreline followed their series.
