FACEIT Continues Into Spring Championship
FACEIT are known within the CS:GO community for their consistent online tournaments, including the championships which pitch the best teams in the regular season against each other. This time the League is set to start on 30 April, with the main season running till 21 May. The Finals are scheduled to take place on 30 May and 1 June.
The Spring Championships are yet another success story of the VALVe way of "crowdfunding" eSports through skins and cases. Thanks to the success of Operation Phoenix, and in part their own p90 skin, Faceit has been able to raise $20,000 for their spring season.
There will be a regular season to determine two spots in the championship play-offs, while six teams will be invited by the organizers themselves. The invites, casters and analists will be announced in the coming weeks. Meanwhile teams can sign-up for the qualifier rounds on April 27th to get into the regular season by going to the FACEIT website. Alternatively there's a second qualifier for selected applicants, which be held on April 28th, for which teams can apply by emailing [email protected].
