Revenge eSports withdraws from TI4 qualifiers; Freddy ‘SmAsH’ Sina leaves the team shortly after

The Peruvian team known as Revenge eSports has been forced to withdraw from the this year's International qualifiers due to conflicts with their roster submission.

Revenge eSports tried to submit a roster which included Iwo 'Iwo' Bejar Kalinowski as a standin to replace Benjamin 'Benjaz' Lanao Barrios even though Iwo was already in the qualifiers due to the fact he is the captain of Union Gaming.

When the team was challenge on this fact Union Gaming stuck to their original submitted roster which forced Revenge eSports to either play with Benjaz or withdraw from the qualifiers. The team decided to withdraw after after being unable to amend the situation they had put themselves in.

Shortly after the team's withdrawal from the qualifiers their mid player Freddy 'SmAsH' Sina made an announcement confirming that he would be leaving the team and would be focusing his future on prioritising a team that suited his needs more as a professional gamer.

Freddy 'SmAsH' Sina's statement on leaving the team:

It took me a while to give an opinion about all the things that have happened related to our disqualification from the TI4 Qualifiers. It causes me a lot of sadness and grief not being able to be present and fight for something that I have been fighting day after day for more than a year.

I want that all of you that follow me and support me with your comments, know that this decision affects both of you and me, since this has been, is and will be my dream as a Dota 2 player. Due to all the actions that has been taken by the team, today I have decided to take a step back and stop being part of Revenge eSports

It has been an unforgettable experience having played along with my friends during all this time, savoring victories, learning from our defeats and especially strengthening those friendship bonds that have kept us together until now. However, it has reached a point in which I have to prioritize my career as a professional gamer that I am trying to be.

I want to finish this announcement letting all of you know that I will stay in the Dota 2 scene, maybe not with Revenge but I will stay and fight to be present in the next International.

Thank you very much for all the support, I don’t use to say this so often but I love and appreciate all of you.

Thank you to Juliow92 for the translation.

The withdrawal of Revenge will see the Argentinian based team Isurus Gaming replace them in the qualifiers.
