Launching a set of “gaming lifestyle footwear,” the collaboration will be made available to the public on May 30th.

Nate Eckman, Co-founder of Ultimate Media Ventures discussed the collaboration: “The decision to make a lifestyle shoe instead of a technical shoe was an easy first choice. We felt house shoes and casual slides were the perfect canvas to showcase this collaboration because gamers can truly wear anything. These styles are meant to fit the lifestyle and to be comfortable and fun by design.”

ULT was announced as an official merchandise provider for Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League in February. The range of clothing designed and sold for each of the 20 franchises includes t-shirts, jerseys, jackets, headwear, trousers, and socks. It also designs and manages merchandise for organisations such as eUnited and Gankstars.

Mike Kirtley, Head of Footwear Design at DC Shoes added: “Very much comfort over performance – they’re more about chill vibes, hanging with your homies and having a good time. This is reflected in the silhouettes which are both comfort focused in the materials.”

Esports Insider says: This is certainly different. While the product itself doesn’t necessary apply to esports, ULT is an esports-first company and collaborating with a big brand from outside of the industry is an interesting move.
