H4X announces Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter as esports ambassador
OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty competitor Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has been named as H4X‘s inaugural esports ambassador.
The gaming apparel brand will collaborate with Crimsix on his own collection which is set to debut in Spring or Summer this year.
Crimsix is the most winningest of players to compete in Call of Duty to date. At the time of writing, he has won 33 offline events – the most recent on which was CWL Las Vegas Open in December 2018.
Cole Gurman, CEO of Monikr, Inc – the parent company of H4X – discussed the collaboration in a statement: “H4X.gg is revolutionizing the gaming industry with the introduction of technical-innovative apparel built specifically to enhance gameplay. Crimsix will have the tools to demonstrate the product innovations as we continue to develop and unveil key features and functions.”
In June last year, North American organisation compLexity Gaming was announced as a partner of H4X. The clothing manufacturer also acts as the official apparel supplier of ESL and DreamHack as part of a deal made in February 2018.
OpTic Gaming is partnered with esports clothing manufacturer We Are Nations and was recently under the same ownership as Sector Six.
Esports Insider says: As players become personalities and online celebrities in their own right, it should be expected that brands will want to collaborate with them – much like what we see with athletes in traditional sports. Crimsix is undoubtedly one of the best to compete in Call of Duty and across console titles in general, so this could well be a strong move for H4X.
