Riot Games directs Echo Fox to take action following investigation

Riot Games addressed Echo Fox’s internal situation by directing the organisation to take action against the investor that used racial slurs and made violent threats within 60 days.

Echo Fox has since responded with a statement of its own, explaining that its internal timeline is shorter than 60 days and that it’s “working with the highest level of urgency to remove the investor” from its ranks.

Overwatch League enters multi-year deal with Upper Deck

Activision Blizzard announced a multi-year deal with Upper Deck for Overwatch League licensed collectibles.

Upper Deck will create trading cards, stickers, sticker books, prints, posters, and memorabilia for the franchised league. The first result of the partnership includes a set of trading cards based on the inaugural season, which is set to be released on June 19th.

Esports Insider reported that Immortals Gaming Club – the parent company of Immortals, MIBR, and Los Angeles Valiant – was “very likely” to acquire Infinite Esports & Entertainment.

Texas Esports, the majority owner of Infinite Esports & Entertainment, has set a deadline of May 31st for the sale. At the time of the report, it was considering selling its majority stake for substantially less than the initial $150 million (£117.6 million) it was looking for.

Complexity Gaming enters strategic partnership with MillerCoors

Complexity Gaming was busy this week, starting with the announcement of its partnership with brewing company MillerCoors.

MillerCoors’ Miller Lite is now the exclusive beverage of the organisation and the company is sponsoring the ‘Miller Lite Player Lounge’, a room for Complexity’s players to let off some steam and watch gameplay.

Complexity Gaming announces Mind Gym for GameStop Performance Center

Complexity Gaming also revealed another room that will be present in the GameStop Performance Center, and that’s the Mind Gym.

Launched in partnership with HyperX and the Mamba Sports Academy, the room is focused on “development, training, and improvement of core cognitive functions” in relation to performance in esports.
