Overwatch League adds ULT as merchandise provider
Activision Blizzard has appointed ULT as an official merchandise provider for the Overwatch League.
ULT is the apparel division of Ultimate Media Ventures, a company that offers strategic consulting, content production, and other services.
The official announcement reads: “We at ULT are humbled and beyond excited to be one of the official merchandise providers for the Overwatch League.
“We decided that ULT needed to be a part of these heartfelt stories and wanted every person to feel represented and we fought for the chance to design for all of you.”
ULT originally partnered with Philadelphia Fusion in May 2018 for the inaugural season of the league. It currently produces its own line of clothing as well as merchandise for eUnited and Gankstars. Other divisions under Ultimate Media Ventures include tournament organisation company Battle Series and production company Weapons Grade Studio.
Overwatch League entered a multi-year deal with licensed sports merchandise company Fanatics to produce the official apparel for each of the 20 teams in the competition. Fanatics has secured the rights – both stateside and internationally – to produce jerseys, fan gear, headwear and hard goods for the league.
Esports Insider says: It’s hard to judge the quality of the merchandise that ULT will be producing for the league considering we haven’t seen the range yet, but it produced some good gear for the Fusion so we have faith. Good on them for securing the deal nonetheless!
